Last Tuesday of Each Month
2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Online with Skype

Did you know that applying for court relief may reduce the barriers of a criminal conviction and make it easier to obtain a job? Attendees of this Webinar will find out how Reductions of Charges, Expungements, and Certificates of Rehabilitation may increase their opportunities for employment and job licensing. They will learn the criteria to qualify, how to apply if eligible, and be provided resources in their community that can be helpful in their rehabilitative journey. LARRP's Free Live Scan Fair Recap

The Free Live Scan event at the D.O.O.R.S. Center in participation with the 2nd Annual National Expungement Week last Friday, was a huge success and we want to thank everyone who participated! We served people with free live scans through the host, Councilwoman of Compton, Michelle Chambers and A-1 Mobile Services. We then followed-up and linked everyone with appointments to expunge their records through the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) team. We also provided linkages to services and program with the D.O.O.R.S. partners, America’s Job Center of California, and Christ Centered Ministries (CCM).

Los Angeles elected leadership attended in support with Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer and Assemblymember Mike Gipson were very excited about what sustainable outcomes for reentry people can manifest from LARRP’s new role at the D.O.O.R.S. Center. Chief Deputy of Adult Services for the Los Angeles County Probation Department, Reaver Bingham, visited and said, “This is exactly what we want to see taking place at the D.O.O.R.S. Center”.
Everyone who attended also were fed through Manna Feast and we want to say thank you to our LARRP member Cresco Labs for help sponsoring the event! Overall, the event was a success in linking people to legal services through our live scan fair and we look forward to participating in next year’s National Expungement Week!
