Committee Charter
The Faith Based Reentry Services Committee supports providers of reentry services in Los Angeles County that self identify as "faith-based." Support is defined as identifying and developing core competencies that would enable clergy and congregatons to leverage existing faith-based assets and resources to address needs of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, their families, and their communities.
Committee Goals
Increase the involvement of the Faith-Based community in the reintegration of formerly incarcerated people by:
- Identifing interested faith-based organizations throughout Los Angeles County
- Recruiting additional faith-based organizations to expand geographic scope
- Conducting a quarterly conference focused on leading practices for FBO
involvement in reentry
- Implementing pilot reentry programs, and evaluating their effectiveness in order to
replicate these programs in future years
